扉の向こうは :: 動物園だった

タイトルが日本語だったけどちょっとした不都gou no tame I'm just going to revert back to English so it's a bit easier to explain.

Just met a friend a few days ago for dinner to catch up on things. After the big meal she was nice enough to invite me to her place to take the dogs out for a walk. I've heard about the pets she owns and was ready to take what was coming.

I'll just say hearing and seeing are two completely different things. When she opened the door I was greeted by a Siberian Husky hovering skipping around my legs nearly tipping me over. Managed to skip my way through a Bedlington Terrior to a small sofa beside a Lionhead rabbit cage, sat down and noticed a Ragdoll cat scratching on something, not giving a shit about me. I was already overwhelmed with all that I've seen in such a small room, when I calmed down a bit she told me there was another cat right above me on the bed. There's suppose to be a humongous turtle in there somewhere too but didn't have the chance to see it.

製品を直接あれするのは主義じゃないが・・・・こいつにはドギモ抜かれた・・

香港でしか味わえないサウナー並の湿気の中、
みなさんに問いたい。
どうやって髪をセッティングしているのだろうか。

ワックスにヘアスプレーという　おとめ座バリバリのやり方で風切って街を出歩いてましたが、ショートだけに有効。伸びてくるとスプレーに違和感が出てきてしまう。長いのにガチガチだから（髪が）。しかしワックスだけかけると、自宅のトイレで完璧な作業をこなしニコニコ顔で外に出ると急激に頭と笑顔に重力がかかる香港ならではの怪奇現象に遭遇し、ダークな一日を過ごします。どうする事もなく、八方塞で毎日をナルシスト風に過ごしていたある日、Fog Barを知る。霧状のスタイル剤はあまり信用していなかったので様子を見ること数ヶ月。評価がかなり良かったので心躍りながらやってみようと決心したら香港に輸入されて来ないので試したくても試せない。ガチガチにナルシストかましてたある日↓の出張が決まり、台湾を訪れ、某コンビニを歩いてたら運命の出会いが・・・・

ソッコウで気に入りました。

ナチュラルかつきめやすく、香港の悪天候でも乱れないしベタつかない。これ以上何を求めろと！ただしスパイキー系には向かないので注意。普通にジェルかスプレーで十分だが・・・

今度切って手ぐしでナチュラルに立たせてみようと思います。（髪を）

台湾 :: 九份

この前台北へ行ってまいりました。

出張でです・・・

働きました・・・

ちょっとだけ・・・

でもほとんど遊んだｗ

台北。有名もいいとこなのであえて今回は違がった所をポスティング。

その名も九份（きゅうふん）。

色々忙しい中最後の夜に時間とれたので学生来の友人Cとミーティング。友人Cですが、数ヶ月前香港に来ており、実に１０年ぶりの再会。感動モンだった・・今回は私ＧＬが訪れた訳です。元々「淡水」って所に行くつもりだったが昼に行って来たばかりだったので（すんません！）急遽九份に。台北からバスで１時間半離れた北部に位置する山あいの町、九份と言えば映画「非情城市」のロケ地とジブリのゴッド・宮崎駿監督の作品「千と千尋の神隠し」のモデルとしてかなり有名なとこ（結局有名でした・・）。友人に教えてもらうまで全然知らなくて、「センチヒのモデルになったとこだよ」と言われたら旅の疲れか先日食いまくったカニの後遺症か「もののけ姫」と勘違いし、コダマ溢れる千寿の森を想像してしまった。「それもののけ姫だから」とツッコマレ我にかえる。友人の友人Aちゃんが九份に住んでいたので色々紹介してもらいました。


結構高い位置にあるので景色はさすがにすごい。↑の写真では伝えられないなにか幻想的なものを感じた・・・霧がそうさせるのかな？山の比例と違って何故かでかい光があちこちあったからシュールに感じたかもしれない。なんであんなでけぇんだマジで。広大してみて下さい。（クリック）


しばらくしたらいつのまにかこんな所に。なにこのすさまじいノスタルジックな感じｗ。まさに千と千尋の神隠し的なものを感じた。ってかそのまんま。夜遅かったから店もほとんど閉まっていたが逆に神秘的な雰囲気を楽しませていただきました。


最後はここ、「阿妹茶酒館」。宮崎駿監督はここに来て顔なしを思いついたとか。仮面が怖すぎます。友人Aちゃんがとにかくチャーハンがうまい！と押していたのでチャーハンを注文したらマジでうまかった。あと色々小食もごちそうさせていただき、神秘的な風景で一服。感無量でございます。

驚きあり、出会いあり、「爆笑」ありで楽しかったです。あっざます！

次はもっといいカメラで来たいと思っております・・・

Apple :: iPad"革命"

友達に触発されて何かをブチマケタイ気分なので、なんかブチマケます。

↑最近のパクリ疑惑の件はもうブチマケ済みなので脳裏の奥をさらに検索してみたら、あらあったわ。ちょっと前話題になったiPadである。


iPad :: A magical and revolutionary product at a unbelievable price.

携帯、ゲーム機、ミュージックプレイヤーなどの商品が縮小する時代の中、こいつらなにを血迷ったのか、拡大しやがった。結構前から各社がネットブックをおしてるので、それに対抗する切り口と思っていいかもしれない。ただどこかが間違ってる気が・・・・「家庭で楽に使えるサイズ」・「薄くてカバンに入りやすいから携帯出来る」・「いつでもどこでもネットと繋がっている」を餌にしているが一体誰が群がってくるのかが分からない。まずこの三つのポイントを検証してみよう。

１．家庭で楽に使えるサイズ：：家にいるんだったら何故マックを使わないのか！画面はさらに大きいしタイピングもしやすい。iPadはどれをとっても劣っている。

２．薄いから携帯しやすい：：一体どこで使うのか。画面が大きい分他人にプライバシーをみられるのは必死。見たくなくても目に入ってしまうと言うとんだご迷惑。iTunesも入ってるから音楽聴けるだろうが、こんなでけぇの持ち歩いて音楽聴くかボケ！

３．いつでもとこでもオンライン：：普通に金とってる。安くない。いつでも解約出来るらしいが、解約するならiPad自体いらないんじゃ・・・

とマイナス点はいくらでもある。機能に至ってはFLASHもないのでネットがおもしろくない。ただ、一つだけまだ希望はあると思う。それはプレッシャー感知。タッチ・スクリーンにこれが加われば全く違う製品に生まれ変わる。あくまでもデザイナーの視点だが、もしプレッシャー感知あったら即買いだと思う。仕事が出来るからだ。いわゆるWACOMみたいなもので、デジタルスケッチパッドとして使える。WACOMの馬鹿げた価格よりかなり安く、しかもApple特有の「家庭機能」もついてるので文句なし。ADOBEも協力して専用ソフトを出せば飛ぶように売れるはず・・・・・現在無いが２代目を考慮した作戦かもしれない。ただ今ないのでマイナスに変わりなし！！

自分で切り上げたい所だがこの前あまりにもすばらしい画像を見つけたのでそれでしめます。この画像一つで↑↑の文章は不要になるが・・・・仕方ない。もうここまで読んでるし（笑）。






お見事

NIKE+ :: 始めました

「デブ？人生一度は肥満を経験せなぁ。その後ちょちょんと痩せりゃぁええねん。」と数年前メタボ呼ばわりする奴等に言ってやったことを未だに達成出来ず、引きずってこんにちに至ります。

吊るされたくないので何かとモチベーションを高める方法を探しても見つからず・・・ジムにも通ってたが成果は「太らなくなった」だけで別に痩せた訳でもない。日頃の暴飲暴食を抑えたぐらいでちょっと迷子状態に・・・しかしある日、社長が「これを参考になんか出来ね？」と渡されたのがナイキのスポーツバンド。

専用のセンサーをＮＩＫＥ＋の靴にはめてバンドを腕につけるだけ。走り終わったら画像のようにＵＳＢ付のパーツをパソコンに差し込むだけ。後は走った記録がＮＩＫＥ＋のサイトに自動アップロードし、今回のセッションのデータが見れる訳だ。目標やスケジュール、世界中のランナーと競えるので中々モチベーションが↑↑なのでおススメだ。

まあ・・・画像見れば分かると思うがテスト・ランって事で（←言い訳）あんまり走ってないように見える。最後なんてバテた事がバレバレやん。クーンっとペースがガタ落ちですな。

道具は揃ったので夏までにはアバラで洗濯してみせまっせ。

Just look at those paled out legs. Looks like it just got sucked the hell out of by a thousand mosquitoes. You can see how long those legs were hiding from the holy sun if you compare 'em with those manly arms.

BTW badminton was way out of my list back in the days and I don't have much exp (in fact none), so I thought it'd be like playing ping pong but DAMN WAS I WRONG.

東京零九 :: 完

今回色々目的はあったが、一番印象的だったのが親友と１０年ぶりに会えたこと。小学３年生からの付き合い（くされ縁）で高校まで色々バカやった仲。

気づいたらもう１０年。早すぎる。

久々に会ったにも関わらず知り合いが最初に放った言葉が「太ったな」と「サモハン」。

「太ったな」は予想範囲内だが、「サモハン」はノーガードだったのでちょっと戸惑いを隠せず。しかしお互い変わらんもんだな～。社会に出て仮面を被るようになってもお互い裸になれるもんだ。

ワイフと食事に連れてってもらい来月出産予定（おめでとう！）の子供の命名や、昔話で盛り上がってたらいつのまにか１１時半。終電もあるのでここまでと。楽しすぎる一夜だった。ワイフさんホントすいません夜遅くバカ話につき合わせてもらって。

ゴチになりやした～！うまかったです。子供の名前期待してるぜ！（！）

会心の一撃 :: in・清水灣

沖縄出身のわたくしですが、本格的に香港で住むことになった時はやっぱり海が気になっちゃう。そりゃ沖縄で今までの大半を過ごしたんだから自然に比べるわけですよ。で初めて香港の海を拝んだ時は、ハッキリ言ってド汚えって言葉じゃあ収まらない。茶色と言えばまだ聞こえがいい方で、冗談抜きで言うと、失礼だが、ウ●コ色だった。それ程吐き気がした。そんな所で弟がある日「釣りに行く」とぬかして行った。時々自分も生意気にも釣りに行ったが、まあ、茶色い海で釣れそうな魚を釣ったって感じで驚かなかった。そんなある日ですよ。弟が釣りから帰ってきてすんげえ勝ち誇ったツラしてたので真っ先に写メを見せてもらったら



んめっちゃ釣れとるやんけ！！！

香港の海（しかも岸で）こんだけの種類は聞いたこともないのでかなり結構チビッた。挙句にこんなもん↓



まで釣ってくるし。ウツボって・・・・キんモ。オレも舌を巻いた。

最近の「香港海新清対策」（今更）の効果かもしれないが・・

こんど清水灣行ってくる・・マグロ釣ってやる。

MBP :: 13

Been looking for an alternative ever since my Vaio refused to turn on. Been using her for a good 4 years though, so I guess it's time for a rotation?

Then comes WWDC'09 at a timing that's just signaling the hell out of me to get one of these chumps. So I decided to check it out. This is the 2nd cycle for the macbook pro's (upgrade announcement since the 1st launch) and like the usual Apple routine it's better bang for money (which I think they screw over consumers). My butt cheeks were already itching from the offer, then the bulb told me my brother happens to be a university student so I can get a discount, with a free iPod.

That sealed the deal.



Not sure what the fuss was about regarding the glossy screen. It doesn't reflect at all when the screen is on. It reflects like a mirror when it's off but why the hell would you stare at a blank friggin screen? The gloss and black frame actually pops the color out really well and I was really surprised with the display quality. I haven't tried it outside yet so my fingers are still crossed, but so far so good.


And here's the free iPod. Chose a red nano coz I have a touch already and it's bound to land on the ladies hand. This thing's so thin you can slice cheese with it.

We'll see how long the MBP lasts with my bro's handling.

AwFulLy :: cHoCoLaTe

You know Souvenirs right, like the little lion keychains you get when relatives come back from a vacation you cashed your doe with. Then your friends come back from a trip and hands over the usual tax-free bag and whadya know, a koala keychain. It goes on 'n on 'n on 'n on and if you're lucky you might get a little magnet shaped like skyscrapers? It's boring but you have to pull a smile, you know?

Well I was in search for a cake a while back, in desperate need of something different. Something without "Local Bakery" written all over it. Not the fact that I was trying to show off or anything but when you usually give a cake to someone you'll have to help finish a portion of it and I was in no mood for anymore white cream and fruit thingy. Luckily, a heading for a magazine column was catchy enough to catch my eyes.

Would you look at that thing.
It's basically made with everything chocolate, head to toe, kinda like NBA. If the lucky person likes chocolate, trust me this is the one. If you're in one of those areas, give it a shot.

カネ！カネ！カネ！:: カネの山！

新年恒例の大掃除。

ってことでチャンプルーなってたマンガを整理することに・・・マンガを全部いっぺんにリビングに出してみたらナカナカの光景で・・・

座り込んで・・・

ちょっと萎える。

コツコツ買ってたんだがまさかこんなにタマルとは！考えてみたらなかなかの量で、これを全部買わず貯金してたら今どんなに楽だったか・・・

’いや、マジで！でージマ！普通の価格で計算してもかなりのもんだよね。でもほとんど香港で買ってるから価格は倍と思っていい。倍はいいすぎか・・・３５～４０％増で。AirMailモノはバッペェたらマジで５０％いく。でも唯一楽しんで日本語のレベルをキープ出来るアイテムっていうか・・・日本語で喋る機会が少なくなってるからどんどん忘れていくのが分かる。今このブログを更新してる時に最も感じるのは焦り。この文章を書き上げるために使ってる時間がハンパないこと。常に使ってないと自然と語力は失われていくのだと痛感する毎日。だから香港ではマンガは欠かせない！’

と頭に入れて整理し始めたら結構モチベーション高くなってざっと4時間ぐらいで終了ｗ　ブラザーRの手伝いもあって4時間。中には萎えた休憩もあったが、結果オーライってことで。

う～ん、しかしカネの山だね～。値上げしてるし。キビシイゼ香港。

A Moment of Stillness :: Mui Wo

The weather's been great these past few weeks in Hong Kong so there's been a lot of outdooring going on. Went to Mui Wo this time, a rural town on the eastern coast of Lantau Island. A lot of people go overnight to hang out on the beach and BBQ, but this time was a half day trip only, to chill. The wind was REALLY strong so there were a lot of cloud art to see.


Most of the people in Mui Wo ride bikes. The main attractions to go to aren't so far away so bicycles is smart transportation. Most of the visitors will rent a bike to ride around to the other side where the beach and market is but this time a good chill on the other side of the shore was the way to go.

Our friend Shirley's birthday party was gonna be held at Stanley so we decided to take off earlier to walk around.


Don't know why but felt a sudden urge to open it.......and found a frog? toad? Don't know how the hell it got in.


Hyper Ordinary. Looks better than the flowers.

A..place. How do you read the damn thing I've never seen a word like that. Anyways it's a popular place but.....just stick with the toast and nothing else.


The Naoto Fukasawa Theory! People just naturally position themselves in a balanced distance. Like when the blokes are looking for a spot in the toilet to take a leak.

Simply Life :: １時間半堪能

The Brunch is great.
Daily Soup + Today's Fresh Baked Bread + Main (choice from a list) + Apple Iced Tea.


Additional dessert and coffee. Coffee was out of this world.
結局１時間半とまったり。ちょっと欧米モード。


We found a place to chill with magazines (don't know why, it was just there)and landed on a page with instructions to make an Origami Rabbit. Mines better.
